All Stars 50th, Golden Anniversary
All Stars 50th, Golden Anniversary year, a huge milestone from our humble beginnings in 1974 when groups of black kids were seen as disruptive and our founder Mr. Isloa Akay MBE (RIP) ragtag bunch was excluded from the local gym. Determined to give them a fighting chance, Mr. Akay began training them on the landing of the tower block he lived in and at local parks and despite the lack of proper equipment and facilities, Mr. Akay began turning out champions, kids from every background.

POSITIVE OUTCOMES
Crime Prevention
We work to divert young people at risk of crime and violence, steering them away from gangs, crime and anti social behaviour into more positive activities.
Educational Support
We help support young people struggling in mainstream education, helping them to achieve their full potential and gain GCSE and ASDAN qualifications.
Employment
We help marginalised young people find training and sustainable employment. We work closely with local businesses who offer work placements.
Mental Health
We use mentoring, counselling and physical training to improve mental health, self esteem, anger management and more positive relationships.
Physical Health
We improve young people’s fitness through group and 1-2-1 training sessions at All Stars Boxing Gym. We produce champions in and out of the ring.
